Ayman Barbaresco on his first face to face speaking engagement as a member of Speakers Bank:
On Tuesday 26 July, I had the opportunity to speak to a room of Rotarians at Sandringham Rotary Club. It was a fantasist night with a great mix of people. It is such a fantastic opportunity to speak about my experiences in life and what it is like to live with a disability nut also how to live your life and not let it affect you.
Having a room full of people who gasp and are in shock when you speak about being a childhood cancer survivor and showing photos of being a cancer kid is a great feeling and then to receive feedback that normally people talk during presentations and to have no one say anything as well as only having a couple of questions at the end shows that I presented a great topic and it is feedback in itself that makes me feel amazing.
It is such a great feeling and I am looking forward to the next time I can share my story.
