Sheena Mathieson and Eva Sifis represented Speakers Bank at the recently held Mental Health Carer’s Forum on 27th July at the Clock Tower at Moonee Ponds. This is a yearly event organised by CareConnect (www.careconnect.org.au). This year’s theme is “planting the seeds” implying steps to plan forward and prepare for the future of the people we support, may it be an elderly member of the family or one with a disability.

Eva presented her lived experience having suffered ABI and had undergone challenges as a cancer survivor. Sheena organised and facilitated an art activity. Both speakers joined the Panel Discussion that talked about how carers also need to look after themselves. Here are some of the photos taken during the day.
